Welcome to Harshberger Enterprises

We are a family-owned and operated production farm located 10 miles north of Minneola, Kansas. We take pride in producing a diverse range of crops, including corn, soybeans, wheat, and milo. We manage our own grain facilities and operate combines, grain carts, and semi-trucks during harvest, and sprayers, planters, seeders, and additional trucks to haul grain during the off-season.

As a team, we are always searching for people with a passion and aptitude for farming and are prepared to equip you with the tools you need to be successful. 

 

Depending on your situation, we are open to full-time, part-time, and seasonal workers (we are H2A-friendly). We are located in the heart of Southwest Kansas where you can expect all 4 seasons; spring, summer, fall, and winter. We consider our summers and winters to be both mild, summer months ranging from 80 to 100 degrees Fahrenheit (26 to 37 degrees Celsius) and winters ranging from 20 to 40 degrees Fahrenheit (-6 to 4 degrees Celsius).

Responsibilities:
​

1. Grain Facility Management: General maintenance on steel grain bins and loading facilities. Be able to safely and efficiently handle the loading and unloading of grain bins, ensuring proper handling and storage of harvested crops as well as be able to properly track grain.

2. Documentation: Maintain accurate records related to grain hauling and shipping, equipment usage, equipment maintenance reports, and other essential farm activities.

3. Mechanical Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on farm equipment to ensure optimal functionality.

4. General Farm Duties: Assist with various tasks such as planting, harvesting, spraying, irrigation, hauling, and other duties as needed.

5. Equipment Operation: Safely operate a variety of farm machinery, including tractors, plows, grain carts, combines, and more.

Requirements:
To be considered for this position, you must:
​
  • Have previous experience in farm-related work, including equipment operation.

  • Demonstrate a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

  • Possess knowledge of farm machinery and equipment.

  • Exhibit the ability to perform physically demanding tasks.

  • Hold a valid driver's license.
